UWF Financial Workshop, Protecting Your Identity and Common Scams, scheduled June 21

The University of West Florida's Louis Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy and the Gulf Winds Foundation have partnered to present a series of quarterly financial education workshops. The next workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, June 21, Noon - 1:00 pm ct in Downtown Pensacola at UWF's Bowden Building (120 Church St.). Mr. Frank Higginbotham will present, "Protecting Your Identity and Common Scams."
Mr. Higginbotham retired as a Lieutenant in the Alabama Bureau of Investigations, Alabama Department of Public Safety. He has 19 years in Patrol, including 17 years on the SWAT Team, four years as a full time instructor at the Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center, and four years with the Alabama Bureau of Investigations. Since November 2012, Higginbotham is the Financial Crimes Investigator with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, Pensacola, FL. He teaches Forensic Accounting and Personal Financial Planning and Introduction to White Collar Criminal Investigations at the University of West Florida. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.
