Eye on the Storm — Preparing for Hurricane Ian
September 26, 2022
Like many of you, we have been keeping a close eye on Hurricane Ian and preparing for the impact it could have on our members, team members and community. As the storm develops, we will continue to provide updates through email, our Facebook page and right here at GoGulfWinds.com/News.
Before the storm reaches our coastline, we encourage you to take some proactive steps to be financially prepared for the impact of the storm:
- Enroll in Digital Banking for quick and easy access to your accounts. Download our mobile app in the App Store and Google Play to get started.
- Visit one of our 85,000 fee-free ATMs to have cash on-hand in case the power goes out.
- Add our number (1.800.650.6328) to your phone's contact list so you can get in touch with our team or check your account through phone banking.
- Secure important documents including IDs, proof of insurance and your credit and debit cards. Review FEMA’s Emergency Financial First Aid Kit for recommendations on being financially prepared.

If you are "hunkering down" and have not made the time to prepare your home for a hurricane — start with this advice from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). We also recommended downloading the FEMA mobile app and setting up alerts so you get the most up-to-date information about the storm.
Please stay safe, be prepared and take good care of your loved ones and neighbors.
